Moving in Acacia Ridge
The homes in Acacia Ridge are mostly houses. At the 2021 Census about 85 per cent of homes were separate houses and about one in eight were townhouses or semis. Nearly half of homes were rented, so lease-end moves are common. With heavy industry and the freight yard beside Beaudesert Road, expect trucks on the main road during the week, which makes timing important on moving day. Iceworld Acacia Ridge, one of Brisbane's two ice skating rinks, is on Beaudesert Road, and the Murri School is nearby. For most residents, though, Acacia Ridge is simply home: a suburb of family houses with backyards.
Industrial traffic and suburban streets
For most Acacia Ridge houses, a larger truck is the right fit. Residential streets west of Beaudesert Road generally have room to park. Our trucks carry a walkboard (ramp), a hydraulic platform lift, or both. We'll plan the route to avoid the worst of the freight and commercial traffic, and for townhouses with tight driveways, we may use a smaller truck.
