Removalists in Teneriffe

Teneriffe is a riverside pocket between New Farm and Newstead, with Teneriffe Hill rising to about 45 metres in the middle. It's known for its old wool stores, now converted into apartments such as the heritage-listed Woolstore No. 3 and The Cannery, along with Queenslanders on the hill. Ben Moves Brisbane is a family-owned removalist led by Ben Sievwright,, and we'd love to help with your Teneriffe move.

Woolstore conversions and hilltop Queenslanders

Living here can mean a converted woolstore loft with big open rooms and a shared goods lift, a newer riverside apartment, or a timber Queenslander on Teneriffe Hill. Tell us which one you're in, plus any lift sizes and stair counts, when you request a quote.

Narrow streets and the hill

Streets like Vernon Terrace and Macquarie Street are busy and lined with parked cars, and the hill streets are steep and narrow. If you're in a large house on the hill, we may suggest a bigger truck parked at the kerb with extra crew instead. For most moves here, we recommend one of our smaller trucks. They're easier to park in tight streets and loading zones, and they still carry a walkboard or hydraulic platform lift. See our trucks and equipment.

A former wool-trade hub

Teneriffe's big brick woolstores once served the wool trade along the river wharves. Today they're some of Brisbane's best-known apartment conversions, alongside character homes like Roseville and the old Newstead air raid shelter. Many buildings face the water, with vehicle access only from a narrow street behind. Tell us which entry the building manager prefers for moves.

Close to our Eagle Farm depot

Our Eagle Farm depot is about 11 minutes' drive from Teneriffe, using Commercial Road, Macquarie Street, Ann Street and Kingsford Smith Drive. We also move people in nearby New Farm, Newstead, Fortitude Valley. Use the depot finder to see which depot is closest to both ends of your move.

Moving tips for Teneriffe

  • Ask about the woolstore lift. Some old goods lifts are big but slow, so allow extra time and book it early.
  • Watch the hill. Let us know if your Queenslander has front stairs down from the street.
  • Between homes? Our storage can bridge the gap, and the storage calculator helps you size it.
