Moving in Taringa
Taringa is one of the most unit-heavy suburbs in the west. At the 2021 Census about six in ten homes were flats or apartments, but fewer than one in ten were in blocks of four storeys or more. That usually means walk-up blocks without lifts, often on sloping sites, so the moving day is all about stairs. Close to half of homes were rented, and the suburb is popular with students from UQ and QUT, so lease-end weeks are busy.
Stairs, slopes and smaller trucks
On Taringa's steep side streets, a smaller truck is usually easier to position close to the building, and it keeps the walk short. We'll bring enough crew for repeated stair carries so nobody rushes on the steps. Our trucks carry a walkboard (ramp), a hydraulic platform lift, or both, which takes the strain out of loading fridges and washing machines on a sloping street. For a full family home, we may suggest a larger truck if there's room to park.

Moving tips for Taringa
- Tell us the floor level. Second- and third-floor walk-ups need more time and hands.
- Moggill Road traffic. It's the main commercial strip, so early starts help.
- Pack light boxes. Smaller cartons are safer to carry up and down stairs.
