Acreage, older homes and new estates
Hemmant has older homes on bigger blocks, some semi-rural lots and newer estates. Larger homes and acreage usually need one of our larger trucks, plus time for sheds and outdoor gear.
Long driveways and freight roads
Some properties have long or unsealed driveways, and freight traffic uses the roads towards the port. Tell us about your driveway and any gates so we bring the right truck. For most homes here, we send one of our larger trucks, fitted with a walkboard, a hydraulic platform lift or both, so bigger households can move in one trip. See our trucks and equipment.
Gun battery and old farmhouses
The WWII Hemmant Gun Battery on Fleming Road is heritage-listed, as are Hemmant State School and an early farmhouse on Gross Avenue. The Cleveland and Fishermans Islands freight lines run side by side through the suburb, and Hemmant station serves commuters. With acreage, older homes and new estates all in one suburb, we'll plan each move around its own access.
Close to our Eagle Farm depot
Our Eagle Farm depot is about 9 minutes' drive from Hemmant, using Lytton Road, Hemmant-Tingalpa Road, Fleming Road and the Gateway Motorway. We also move people in nearby Murarrie, Tingalpa, Wynnum. Use the depot finder to see which depot is closest to both ends of your move.
