With no through roads, traffic is light, but some streets are narrow, with cars on both sides. Our Bulimba depot is only a few minutes away, so we can arrive early and get the best parking spot. Hawthorne ferry and Lourdes Hill
The Hawthorne ferry terminal and Hardcastle Park sit on the river at the end of Gordon Street. Lourdes Hill College is on Hawthorne Road. Heritage homes such as Airdrie and Halcyon show the suburb's long history. Hawthorne Road and Barton Road are the main streets, and Riding Road connects to Wynnum Road. Many riverfront and hillside homes have long paths and steps, so we'll plan the carry.
