Ridges and Lytton Road
Hillside streets can be steep, and Lytton Road and Thynne Road get busy around school times. Our trucks carry walkboards and hydraulic lifts to make loading easier on sloping blocks. For most homes here, we send one of our larger trucks, fitted with a walkboard, a hydraulic platform lift or both, so bigger households can move in one trip. See our trucks and equipment.
Beautiful residence
Balmoral's name comes from the Scottish Gaelic for 'beautiful residence', and in 1927 the Panorama Heights estate on Fifth Avenue was sold off to new homeowners. Balmoral State High School opened in 1958, and Sts Peter and Paul's School is on Alexandra Street. Hilltop streets give views back to the city. The ridgelines, especially around the higher streets, mean many homes have stairs, sloping lawns and tight turning space. We'll plan around them.
