Original Queenslanders and units
Old Queenslanders are a big part of East Brisbane, along with brick unit blocks and newer townhouses closer to Vulture and Stanley Streets. House moves suit one of our larger trucks, and units can use a smaller one.
A hilly eastern side
The eastern side of the suburb rises towards Norman Park, so some streets are steep, with homes set high above the road. Lytton Road and Wellington Road are busy, so we park in side streets where we can. For most homes here, we send one of our larger trucks, fitted with a walkboard, a hydraulic platform lift or both, so bigger households can move in one trip. See our trucks and equipment.
Mowbray Park and heritage homes
Mowbray Park, with its East Brisbane War Memorial, sits on the river opposite New Farm, and the CityCat stops at Mowbray Park. Heritage-listed homes include Kitawah, Eskgrove and La Trobe. Norman Creek forms much of the eastern border, and the Gabba is just to the south-west. Older homes here can have narrow side paths and front stairs, so we'll plan the best way in.
Close to our Bulimba depot
Our Bulimba depot is about 7 minutes' drive from East Brisbane, using Lytton Road, Wellington Road, Vulture Street and Stanley Street. We also move people in nearby Kangaroo Point, Woolloongabba, Coorparoo. Use the depot finder to see which depot is closest to both ends of your move.
