Moving in Annerley
Annerley is an eclectic mix. Many of its original Queenslanders have been restored, while apartment blocks line many streets. At the 2021 Census about four in ten homes were separate houses and another four in ten were flats or apartments, but only around two in a hundred homes were in blocks of four storeys or more. Walk-ups, Queenslanders and the right truck
For a walk-up unit, we'll usually suggest a smaller truck that can park close to the stairwell, plus enough crew for repeated stair carries. For a restored Queenslander, a larger truck often fits the job better, and we'll plan the carry down the front stairs. Our trucks carry a walkboard (ramp), a hydraulic platform lift, or both. Ipswich Road is busy, so we'll avoid stopping on it where we can.
