Named after a railway junction
Northgate is named after its railway station, which was first called North Coast Junction and renamed in 1890. The new name combines 'North' from North Coast and 'gate' from Sandgate. The station is still the junction for the Shorncliffe and North Coast lines. Northgate State School sits on Amelia Street, and St John's Catholic Church is on Nudgee Road. With a mix of quiet residential streets and industrial areas, we'll plan the route to avoid heavy freight traffic.
Close to our Eagle Farm depot
Our Eagle Farm depot is about 10 minutes' drive from Northgate, using Toombul Road, Nudgee Road, Sandgate Road and the East West Arterial. We also move people in nearby Nundah, Banyo, Clayfield. Use the depot finder to see which depot is closest to both ends of your move.
