Moving in Brookfield
Brookfield is mainly large acreage properties and luxury homes, with a small number of farms. At the 2021 Census about 95 per cent of homes were separate houses and fewer than one in ten were rented. An acreage move is a different job from a suburban one. There's usually a long driveway, a big shed or workshop, outdoor furniture, maybe horse gear or a ride-on mower, and the truck may need room to turn around on the property.

For most Brookfield homes we'll suggest a larger truck so we can move the house, shed and garden in as few trips as possible. Our trucks carry a walkboard (ramp), a hydraulic platform lift, or both, which helps with heavy shed items and outdoor gear. Before moving day, tell us about the driveway, including its length, surface, gate width and whether there's a turning area. If a large truck can't get up to the house safely, we'll plan around it.
